Our client, a globally recognised market research and insights consultancy with a strong presence across Australia, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of a large scale qualitative research project for a government client. This is a great opportunity to work on high impact, sector-shaping research within a fast paced government program.

The Role
This position will lead delivery of a large scale qualitative research project for a government client, scoped for delivery by year end. The program spans two full rounds of state and territory consultations, sector workshops and client meetings, alongside implementation of a federal system change model. All stakeholder engagement runs through government contacts, so the role calls for someone confident managing complex logistics without external recruitment, offered initially as a contract with a strong view to permanency at end of 2026.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Manage end to end delivery of a qualitative research project for a government client

• Coordinate research logistics including venue organisation, recruitment and discussion guide development

• Act as the primary point of contact for client meetings and government stakeholders

• Manage project timelines and navigate organisational change within a fast paced, deadline driven program

• Ensure research is delivered ethically and rigorously in a sensitive government and healthcare context

About You
You bring strong project management experience within government qualitative research and can hit the ground running from day one:

• Proven experience managing qualitative research projects for government or public sector clients

• Experience coordinating multi-channel research and evaluation programs

• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills

• Excellent organisational skills across venues, respondents and discussion guides

• Ability to manage competing deadlines and organisational change with minimal supervision

• Comfortable working within tight government timeframes and processes
