The Role

As a Director, you will be client-facing from day one and trusted to lead projects from start to finish. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to take full ownership and drive impactful outcomes for clients. The functions of the role will include:

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research projects with precision and efficiency
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to ensure long-term success
  • Manage key client accounts, delivering exceptional service and results
  • Produce high-quality, market-leading deliverables that meet client needs
  • Help develop innovative solutions to differentiate the offering and strengthen the brand
  • Support the Research Director in expanding qualitative capabilities and contribute to upskilling client service teams

This role covers all aspects of client and project management, including but not limited to:

  • Leading client briefings and understanding their needs
  • Developing proposals and designing customised methodologies
  • Creating questionnaires and discussion guides
  • Conducting fieldwork/experiments
  • Managing both external contractors and internal field teams
  • Performing data analysis (Q software is typically used)
  • Preparing reports and delivering client presentations
  • Producing high-quality deliverables for clients
  • Managing and nurturing client relationships with a focus on growth
  • Facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions
  • Overseeing quality control and managing budgets efficiently

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings: 

  • Strong quantitative research skills, including questionnaire design and experience with Q or SPSS
  • Some qualitative research skills (IDIs, immersions, focus groups, ethnography, etc.) with a desire to grow in other qualitative techniques and technologies 
  • Experience in a market research agency, with hands-on project management skills and a proven ability to run customised research end-to-end
  • Excellent written English skills for report preparation and content creation, along with strong visualisation skills using Microsoft products, particularly PowerPoint
  • A passion for learning and developing client relationships, with the ability to uncover insights and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Familiarity with human-centred design techniques and some experience in B2B research, preferably within sectors such as financial services, government and healthcare
  • Personable and confident in building relationships, with strong communication skills for developing and delivering engaging presentations
