Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Research Executive with 3-5 years’ experience to join their rapidly growing Sydney-based advisory and research business. In this role you will deploy both qualitative and quantitative research strategies that shape opinions, manage risk and uncover opportunities across policy, business and political environments, helping clients gain a competitive edge.
 

  • Design and execute quantitative research including surveys, segmentation, modelling, tracking studies and ad-hoc projects, supplemented by qualitative methods to surface meaningful insights and trends.
  • Lead qualitative research delivery across focus groups, IDIs, online moderation, workshops and observational analyses using empirical approaches.
  • Work collaboratively to translate data findings into clear, evidence-based recommendations aligned to client goals.
  • Build and deliver compelling client presentations that communicate analysis and recommendations concisely and with impact.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory shifts and market developments, proactively integrating this knowledge into client analyses.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting on project progress, keeping clients informed on milestones, deliverables and any emerging challenges.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously refine qualitative and quantitative methodologies, ensuring the use of best-in-class techniques and tools.

About You
The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, solid knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research across policy and business environments, a creative and curious mindset, and a genuine desire to learn and contribute to a high-performing team.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering high-quality research, briefs and strategic advice to clients. You will apply both your moderation and analytical skills to design and execute qualitative research as well as quantitative and observational data analyses, forming and presenting recommendations directly to clients.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and qualitative research skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, public policy, politics, law or a related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience applying analytical and moderation skills across qualitative and quantitative research to extract insights from complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality research, briefs and advice to clients.
  • Ability to translate data analyses into well-founded recommendations that address clients’ specific needs and objectives.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple qualitative and quantitative research streams simultaneously.
  • Genuine desire to learn and grow, staying current on industry trends and best practices.
  • Thrives in a dynamic work environment and contributes to a positive team culture.
